Laci Comes Home

As most of you know our granddaughter Laci returned to the US a few weeks ago from her tour of Iraq.  She is in the USAF and stationed at Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio.  She was really anxious to come home to Montana to her family as she spent all the holidays in Iraq and hasn’t seen her family since August.  Laci decided she wanted to surprise her Mom and Dad and that’s exactly what happened tonight.  Her sister Katie’s finace Michael was to have helped her arrange the surprise but had to work tonight so my Michael and I were elected to get it done.

Laci arrived in Bozeman today and her friend Rena picked her up.  The plan was to meet Lonn and LoraLee at the Rib and Chop House in Livingston at 6pm.  The excuse we gave was we wanted to take them to dinner to thank them for seeing after our horses and mail while we were in Arizona this winter.  Katie was student teaching today and then had CPR class so was up in the air as to whether or not she could make it.  But, finally about 6:30pm it all came together and it was a total surprise for Lonn, LoraLee and Katie.  With much tears and laughter we all welcomed Laci home.  She looks great and has grown up so much since she left Montana almost two years ago.
