Pleasant Saturday

OK, the first snow was beautiful as was the second, the third snowfall was pretty—now the snow is not beautiful or pretty, it is after all Easter weekend!  Over the last 24-36 hours we have gotten over a foot of snow.  Today the sun came out after lunch and a lot of the snow melted.

We got all the food stuff transferred to the new refrigerator and freezer this morning and the rest of the stuff put away.  I like the new refrigerator, it is much bigger than my old one and has room to spare!  We buy most of our meat at Costco and repackage the meat for the freezer.  Michael helped me do that today and it is so nice to have a freezer in the mud room instead of having to go downstairs.

Nat was going to come up for lunch today so I thawed steaks and baked potatoes to make twice baked potatoes.  It was snowing hard and the wind was blowing right before lunch and he decided not to come—Mike and I still had a nice lunch and I just put the leftovers in the frig.

After lunch we both sat down and relaxed, Mike and Emmi took a little nap and I finished a book I had picked up in Cathedral Gorge State Park in Nevada on our way home.

Did a smidgeon of cleaning then went downstairs and worked on quilt borders.  Michael is building a set of cabinet drawers for the shop so he was also working in the basement.  Emmi and I took a late afternoon walk, too.

That is it for our Saturday.  Tomorrow we are going to Red Lodge to join my dear friends Jane and Rich for Easter brunch.
