Managed to accomplish much this morning before heading over on the west Boulder to retrieve LoraLee and go to a sewing class in Livingston. I made two batches of granola, did two loads of laundry, changed the sheets on the bed and went for a nice walk—whew! I’m pooped before I even started!
These newer sewing machines are so complicated I jump at the chance to learn anything about their use. One of the quilt stores in Livingston is a Pfaff dealer—GordyAnn, the owner has an ongoing class teaching people how to use these computerized wonders. Jeane joined us and we had a nice two hour session learning a few things about the embroidery unit process.
Lonn needed a ride home after dropping a truck at the local dealership for repair. This truck Michael bought last fall has a six speed in the floor transmission--that thing and I had some chats today! I’ve been driving a stick shift forever—the jeep is a standard as is the little sports car. I just can’t seem to find the right gear in the truck—practice, practice!
Michael spent the afternoon helping Claire put a new alternator in their pickup—oops, not the problem! Now what?? Just like sewing machines, these newer trucks and cars are way too computerized!
Emmi was glad to see me when I got home—mostly so I would kick the ball for her! We saw on Facebook where JoAnn lost her beloved poodle Filmore today—so sad, especially coming so close on the heals of losing her husband Doug—our hearts are sad for you JoAnn!
